Linux Networking & Edge Deployment
Linux networking, sockets, monitoring, and packet analysis so Edge AI systems can communicate, stream, and operate reliably.
Course overview
Move from standalone devices to connected intelligent systems. Students learn Linux networking fundamentals, diagnostic tools, and communication pipelines needed to deploy and manage Edge AI services in the real world.
Core curriculum
Four themed modules. Each module is a working block of lessons and labs.
Linux Networking
Understand IP addressing, interfaces, routing, DNS, SSH, remote access, and service configuration for Jetson-based development.
Monitoring Tools
Use Linux networking tools such as ping, netstat, ss, ip, curl, wget, and traceroute to inspect and troubleshoot connectivity.
Packet Analysis
Learn packet sniffing and monitoring with tools like tcpdump and Wireshark to understand data flow, system behavior, and network security.
Deployment
Build workflows for remote management, streaming, data transfer, API access, and Edge AI application integration across devices.
What you'll gain
- Confidence configuring Linux networking on Jetson
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting fluency
- Understanding of packet flow and Edge AI security basics
- Repeatable remote-deployment workflows
